The South African Student Congress (SASCO) will on Friday, 11 March 2022 host its annual Right To Learn Campaign rally which is set to assess the registration cycle as it comes to an end for this semester. SASCO uses this platform to give a command to its members and supporters on what should be the tone and attitude for the 2022 academic year.
This year’s Right To Learn Rally will be looking at our position towards:
⁃ Final NSFAS Funding Guidelines
⁃ Vaccine Mandates
⁃ Budget Allocation for Higher Education
⁃ State of Higher Education & Institutions
The rally will receive messages of solidarity from the COSAS, YCLSA, ANCYL, SADTU, NEHAWU, COSATU, SACP and the ANC. SASCO will further receive messages from various student organisations across the world.
The 2022 rally convenes under the theme: “Positioning Activism at the centre: Consolidating towards a single coordinated post schooling education and training sector”.
Cde Mmamoloko Kubayi will address the rally on behalf of the 54th NEC of the ANC, SASCO President Cde Bamanye Matiwane will deliver the 21st NEC message.
